I was bound and determined to do my Sunday recap on Sunday evening. But then I got home and didn’t have my power supply to my computer. Of course I blamed it on the tech guys who used my laptop to run lights on Sunday. Then today I found the power supply. In my bag. In a pocket that I had looked in at least 50 times. Yes, my mother said a million times growing up “if it was a snake it would have bit you!”

Meant to write this Sunday night. Then Monday. Then Tuesday. Now it’s Wednesday and I’m still pumped about what happened on Sunday. And ready for another one!

• This bright idea I had about opening our new church with a series about biblical characters has been a lot of work!
• Thought it would be easy but trying to narrow down to just one simple, life changing point from these dudes has been tough!
• This week was Moses. The point? God has given us what we need to make a difference with our one life. In fact, it’s probably already in our hands.
• Moses had a staff. He used it to turn water to blood, split a sea wide open, keep the Israelites winning a battle, and more.
• We have relationships, experiences, time, talents, finances.
• What is the one thing God has put in your hands already and wants you to use it to make a difference?
• If you don’t have Jesus, then start with that! You can’t make a difference without Him no matter how hard you try.
• This felt like the least energetic of any of our five services to those of us on the “inside.” But then we started getting emails and surveys that it was one of the best. Good to see God working in spite of us!
• Attendance was identical to last week. BIG encouragement because last week we had about 20 people from a sponsoring church there visiting!
• Lots of new volunteers again. Several helping set-up, three helping with kids, and one new greeter.
• 14 first time guest cards turned in on Sunday. So far we’ve had 141. Unbelievable!
• There were FORTY kids and volunteers in our children’s areas! LOTS of little ones running around.
• Had a lot of people tell us their families were home sick. This flu business is rough.
• Announced our next series starting October 11: Break Out. Going to be talking about sin and temptation. Going to be INTENSE!
• Also announced our first community service day this Saturday at Powell High School. Be there at 11 a.m. to help us give back to the school and then eat with us at a cook-out right after.

• Wrapping up One Life Can Make a Difference series this Sunday. Going to be straight up the Gospel as we look at what led Paul to making a difference with his life – a dramatic encounter with Christ! INVITE SOMEONE!!! See ya Sunday.

It still feels a little unreal that OneLife Church now meets every week. The craziest thing is we are already talking about what our next step is as a church.

On Tuesday, the staff guys and I began talking about how we can go from starting a service to starting a church. We've had four public services and each has gotten better and better. We continue to evaluate our weekly worship so that we are always improving. But now that we have established these weekly services, how do we take the next step to really become a church?

Week two was another fun day at OneLife! You never know what to expect on your first day and the second is almost even scarier. What if no one comes back?! Fortunately God is in control so we don’t have to worry too much. Here’s a quick recap of all that HE did!

Week one is in the books and as if we just blinked, week two is knocking on the door. One of the things that I’ve thought a great deal about this week is what OneLife has to stay focused on as we get into the weekly routine.

The hardest part of that is there are so many voices. We have five churches helping us get started. Each one is very different. Some are older churches in established facilities. Others are brand new churches still meeting in schools. Some have young leadership. Others are a little older. Some focus heavily on certain ministries while some focus heavily on others.
