Dreaming Big
Launching New Churches, Launching Process, FaithOn top of learning and being reminded of all the nuts and bolts that we really need to get working on, last week’s basic training also got us dreaming big dreams. It is easy to get focused on our one church that we are getting ready to start and not think beyond ourselves.
So we are starting to dream big dreams. We are asking God what more there is to this vision than just starting a church. What other churches will start because of this one? How will we reach the thousands of people in our community who do not already know Christ? How will we reach the tens-of-thousands of college students from all over the world just minutes away? How will we raise up leaders who can help us see God’s vision become reality? How does our church come alongside the other churches in our community to make a bigger impact? How do we raise up a staff that thinks beyond just their job or our church?
...
And these are just a few of the big questions we are asking. I’m convinced more than ever that God wants all of us to catch a glimpse of how big and holy he is. Once we do that our dreams grow, our desires begin to line up with His, and our vision morphs to be more like His. So on top of raising funds, securing tax exempt status, incorporating, thinking through systems, and putting together the launch team, our top priority is dreaming big dreams – really big ones.
What is the big dream God wants you to dream? Where can you begin thinking beyond yourself or your local church to impact His Kingdom?
