Tweet Tweet Tweet
BlogsFrom Congress to celebrities to the high school kid not paying attention during class, Twitter seems to be one of the hottest things going right now.
Don’t know what Twitter or a “tweet” is? Then you must be an old geezer. But that’s ok, we love geezers.
No, “tweet” isn’t the noise the Roadrunner makes on his way to whacking Wiley the Coyote. A tweet is a 140-character or less message about what you are doing at the time. Twitter is the online tool that allows users to “tweet.” Many people will have their “tweets” post to a website or blog and constantly update those throughout the day.
One of the biggest stories coming out of President Obama’s speech the other night wasn’t about his policies or programs. It was about all the congressmen “tweeting” during his speech. My wife asked me the famous question about Twitter - “why would you want everyone to know what you are doing?”
...
But this day-in-age you simply can’t over communicate. There are so many messages out there and so little time. So Twitter has become a tool to send out information all day long without having to post a long blog or send a mass email.
Starting very soon you will see a Twitter feed on this blog, too. I have been blown away at the number of readers on this blog and this will allow me the opportunity to post something several times every day, even if an entire blog posting doesn’t go up.
So stay tuned for this new feature. Until then, have a twitterific weekend!
