Bragging on God
Launching New Churches, Launching Process, Faith, FinancesSorry for the long blog silence. I am writing this post from the library in the sleepy town of Louisiana, Missouri. Thanks to my wife having a business trip nearby, we get a couple of days in an awesome little bed and breakfast here on the banks of the Mississippi River. Trying to enjoy every second of wife-time as possible before life gets crazy in the next few months.
Since the last post, God has answered some humongous prayers. As I posted on April 26, we needed $10,000 to come in miraculously so we could secure the purchase of an almost brand new portable church system (read about it here). I didn’t know how it would happen or where it would come from. But we prayed and it did.

Between our launch team sacrificing, friends and family giving, and a local missions group believing in our vision, we had right at $9800 show up and I’m convinced that the extra $200 is probably sitting in the mailbox right now! So on Monday afternoon we cleaned out the checking account to make that $32,000 purchase. This coming Monday we’ll be heading to Memphis to meet the other church to get it. Can’t wait.
So now it’s on to the next phase. Between now and September we need another $25,000 to show up some way, some how. This will cover the last equipment purchases we need, computers for Sunday morning, publicity for preview and launch services, and rent. How are we going to come up with that much? Good question. But I have no doubt that it will happen and I can’t wait to tell you how God provides!
