Turning Up the Heat
Launching New Churches, Launching Process, LeadershipYesterday was a crazy busy day. Tyler is now officially working for OneLife one day a week so we met bright and early to get some priorities set for him. He hit the ground running and had a hugely productive day. I can't wait to post our website he's working on. It's great. Then I was off to meet with a guy from a church planting organization to talk about how we might be able to partner together. They are helping to plant a ton of churches so this could be a very good thing for OneLife and the churches we hope to one day start.
...
Then I was back in the "office" getting all of our administrative stuff straightened up for our new administrative assistant. She, too, is just one day a week but is going to relieve me in a big way. Not to mention she is ten times better at that stuff than I am. She starts today so I had to head to the bank and deal with all the red tape of adding her to the account. Needless to say it is going to take an act of congress to get it done. But we'll make it work.
Then it was back to meet Tyler to go pick up our trailer from the shop. It had a minor brake issue that had to get fixed and we had them give it a good once over while it was there. Everything is in great shape so we dropped it off at the storage unit (after he showed off his backing up skills - made me puke!) and then went to buy some kind of electrical junk for the sound system. I don't know - I just gave him the credit card.
Then all of the sudden it was 5:00. Time for my bride to come home. Where did the day go?! Good question. But one thing it showed me is that it's time to turn up the heat. Momentum is really starting to build for OneLife Church and if I'm not careful, I'll be the limiting factor to what God wants to do through us. So it's time for me to start delegating things away so that I can focus on what I need to do to work my tail off in all the right ways and to tighten the belts as we go for a great ride!
Can't wait to see what's ahead.
