Busy Day
Launching New Churches, Launching ProcessWhat a day! I’m laying in bed writing this blog because I’m wiped out. But as busy as today was, it was a still a good one.
It started this morning in Spartanburg, SC where I got to preach at Morningside Baptist Church. Morningside has been a big supporter of OneLife both prayerfully and financially so it was good to be with them. But after preaching two services I was pretty well spent. My usual routine would be to head home and take a nap in my recliner.
Not today.
...
As soon as the second service ended, we jumped in the car and headed back to Knoxville. At 3:30 this afternoon the launch team met at the high school to set everything up for the first time. So we rolled in around 3:15, changed clothes and sped to the high school. I had no idea what to expect. A lot of things had to be assembled for the first time so we still don’t have a good guess at how long our setup will take but we had most all of it set up in about 2 hours. A lot of that was stuff we’ll never have to do again so we’ll see next week how long it will really take. Tear down took just 45 minutes so that was a good sign.
More than anything I’m just excited that we are this close! Two weeks from today is our first public service. I can’t wait.
