It still feels a little unreal that OneLife Church now meets every week. The craziest thing is we are already talking about what our next step is as a church.

On Tuesday, the staff guys and I began talking about how we can go from starting a service to starting a church. We've had four public services and each has gotten better and better. We continue to evaluate our weekly worship so that we are always improving. But now that we have established these weekly services, how do we take the next step to really become a church?

That's the question we've begun to ask. We value simplicity so we constantly wrestle with how we maintain that simplicity while seeing people take their next step toward spiritual maturity. As a new church we can't and will not add a bunch of programs. Like a baby has to crawl before it walks, so does OneLife!

So where we've landed is placing an emphasis on our volunteer ministry teams. We want people to grow closer together by serving together. Down the road, this is where our traditional "small groups" will be born and then, hopefully, an outward, missional DNA will be a natural part of these groups.

So if you are a OneLifer, are you plugged in to one of these teams yet? If not, you are missing out on the next step. And from what we've seen already, this is a step you don't want to miss!
