Creative Scribble

I was bound and determined to do my Sunday recap on Sunday evening. But then I got home and didn’t have my power supply to my computer. Of course I blamed it on the tech guys who used my laptop to run lights on Sunday. Then today I found the power supply. In my bag. In a pocket that I had looked in at least 50 times. Yes, my mother said a million times growing up “if it was a snake it would have bit you!”

So now, on with the recap…

• Saturday was our first community service day as we did some work on the outside of the high school. It was great to spend time with OneLifers and give back to the community.
• Sunday was another incredible day. New volunteers at setup and helping greet.
• Setup took less than an hour and teardown was about 40 minutes. Both were records!
• Attendance was second highest of our six services, second only to launch day, and only 20 less than that.
• Another person started a relationship with Jesus. Incredibly exciting.
• We are starting to see people who are “regulars” invite people to come with them.
• Of the 16 first time guest cards, at least half were invited by a OneLifer.
• Once again we had a ton of kids in all three of our OneLife Kidz environments. I can’t wait until I get a Sunday to go watch! They have a ton of fun.
• We wrapped up the One Life Can Make a Difference series with a look at Paul’s conversion.
• An unexpected encounter led him to make a bold move.
• God wants us all to make a bold move if we’ve had an encounter with him.
• Next week starts the Break Out series. Going to be pretty intense.
• Just wrapped up a staff and creative meeting with the guys and got some GREAT things going.
• Volunteer ministry is about to be stepped up to the next level. Got some great plans to continue improving that.
• Already working on our next series that starts in November. It’s going to be a blast and we get to make fun of church people!
