Meet the Staff: Haley
Launching New ChurchesMy goal is to do a better job keeping this blog and Twitter updated. But man, the days and weeks FLY by. Don't know where it goes! I need an Associate Pastor of Twitter and Blogs to do it for me ![]()
To help keep me paced over the next couple of weeks, I'm going to highlight each of our staff members. I couldn't do it without them! First up, my life-saver and keeper of the money, Haley Resseguie.
...
How We Met: I really got to know Haley on my very first mission trip as a sophomore at UT when we went to Venezuela. She later became the administrative assistant for the Baptist Collegiate Ministry where we got to work together ministering to the college kiddos. She quit there to have her first baby and was looking for a part-time job just when we needed her!
What She Does: Haley keeps me sane. Plain and simple. Working from home, she handles all administrative duties including bookkeeping, database maintenance, purchases for Sundays, mail correspondence, and a whole lot of other stuff that I'll never really know. She's supposed to only work 8 hours a week but I'm convinced she does about triple that! I was doing all of this work before June when she started and it has truly freed me up to focus on leading the church rather than getting bogged down in administrative work. Plus she's way better at it than I ever was!
Sunday Responsibilities: Haley is unique in that she is the only staff member not involved at OneLife on Sundays. This is actually strategic for us in that she handles very confidential information (tithing records, payroll, prayer requests, etc.) and is able to stay extremely objective in how she does her job. However, she is an asset to our team as she both understands and supports the vision and direction of OneLife as a member of one of our partners, North Star Church, where she works each week in the children's ministry there.
